Terms of Service
Last reviewed: May 6, 2026
1. Who We Are
Ode'min Circle is an AI-assisted platform that helps Indigenous-led projects move from idea to charter to a path of fundable work. References to "we," "our," or "us" mean the Ode'min Circle operating team.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization (a community, business, non-profit, or government body), you represent that you have authority to do so.
4. Your Content
You retain all rights to the project ideas, descriptions, location data, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display it back to you, and to send it to the AI service providers identified in our Privacy Policy for the sole purpose of generating outputs you have requested. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not use it to train AI models.
5. AI-Generated Output
The platform uses generative AI to draft charters, paths, tasks, and application sections. AI-generated text is clearly marked in the interface. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before submitting it to a funder, sharing it externally, or relying on it for decisions. We make no warranty as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any specific funder's requirements. AI-generated text may contain errors, omissions, or fabrications.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or that violates the rights of any third party.
- Use the platform to scrape, mass-extract, or build a competing dataset.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, the bot deterrent, or any other security measure.
- Submit automated traffic without our written permission.
- Misrepresent your identity, your community affiliation, or your authority to act on behalf of an organization.
7. Account Security
Login uses one-time email codes. You are responsible for the security of the email address associated with your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
8. Service Availability
We provide the platform "as is." We do not guarantee continuous availability and may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will give you a chance to export your data before any planned discontinuation that would otherwise erase it.
9. No Professional Advice
Nothing on the platform constitutes legal, financial, accounting, tax, or grant-eligibility advice. Funder requirements change frequently, and AI-generated outputs may not reflect the latest. Verify with the funder directly or with a qualified professional before submitting any application.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ode'min Circle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost grant opportunities, application rejections, or AI-generated inaccuracies.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time by emailing privacy@odemincircle.ca. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonable. On termination, you may request a copy of your data before deletion.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last reviewed" date at the top will reflect changes. Material changes will be announced here and, where reasonable, by email.
